FAQ
Our Support for Your Better Experience
Are there any discontinuation issues with the cells applied to the module?
They are applied to BYD’s own EVs and ignition battery packs, and are currently in production with an annual capacity of 30 million units.
When designing the module, what is the maximum number of cells that can be connected in parallel?
There is no limitation on parallel configuration, and configurations above 10P are also acceptable.
Can this cell also be used for UPS applications where it remains in a constant floating-charge state?
Yes, the cell can be used for UPS or ESS applications.
What certifications are available for this cell?
The cell is certified with UL1642, CB IEC62619, CE, and UN38.3.
However, the UL9540A certification required for UPS or ESS applications incurs an additional certification fee.
What is the cycle life of this cell?
It provides 2,000 cycles at 0.5C / 1C.
How is quality control performed for the module?
We receive welding guidelines from BYD and perform tensile strength tests after welding, followed by checking OCV and IR values.
How is the welding performed for this module?
We use laser welding, and depending on the application and busbar design, we propose optimal welding conditions such as 0.5T, 0.8T, 1.0T, and 1.2T.
